Five National Awards for Tamil Cinema
60th National Awards bring cheers on the faces of Tamil Cinema lovers by fetching five awards. National Film Awards were announced on yesterday. Balaji Sakthivel directed "Vazhakku En 18/9" gets the two National Awards.
"Vazhakku Enn 18/9" gets the award in two categories, in which first one is best make artist won by Raja and second one is for the best feature film in the
language category. Controversy surrounded Kamal's "Vishwaroopam" also made it to the awards list with best choreography went of Birju Maharaj and best production designer is Lalgudi N Illayaraja.
Last one was for best costume design went to Poornima Ramaswamy for the film "Paradesi". On achieving this feat, producer of "Vazhakku Enn 18/9" expressed his happiness and joy, to get the award from the President of India.
