Madras Talkies issued the statement....

Director Mani Ratnam's tamil movie "Kadal" incurred the loss to the distributors of this film, while on this regard Distributors have claimed their loss. For this Distributors have showed their protest in front of the office of Madras Talkies production house. With this Mani Ratnam's production house has release the press statement on this issue.

 Press statement said that 'Madras Talkies had sold the rights of Tamil and Telugu dubbed version of "Kadal" to
Gemini Industries and imaging Ltd. in March 2012 as per MG basis'. Else Madras Talkies had no other process in the distribution. In this regard Gemini might answer the solution to the protest of Distributors.

 As per the news Distributors have asked the compensation for the failure of tamil movie "Kadal", which was released on Feb.1 and it is being directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. featuring Gautham Karthik, Thulasi Nair, Arvind Swamy, Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu and others. Music of this film was tuned by Oscar winner A.R.Rahman.
